Nosferatu
Any invert I can think of will regrow any appendage you rip off, usually within the next molt. Sometimes it takes 2 molts, but I've never had them not grow back. A banded shrimp I had grew both his claws back within a month after he got scared and dropped them. PS: An emerald crab without claws is a blessing in disguise because he can't hurt anything Link to comment

mahi mahi boy
I bought a 1" hermit that's missing a claw, still waiting for a molt. Is it true that if they get an eye poked out, they'll molt in a hurry? I heard that shady shrimpers..etc do that to get a soft-shell crab... a common blue crab (Callinectes sapidus) that just molted.
