kp33163
Question.......My new harlequin shrimp just molted for the first time in my tank. Before I could reach in and pull out the old shell, a bristle worm got a hold of it and pulled it in a crevice in the rockwork. It now looks like he's eating it. I have a peppermint shrimp too that has molted several times, and I've always just pulled the old shell out. Is it going to be an issue to let this shell go and let the bristle worm do as it will or do I need to get this out of the tank? Link to comment
zachxlutz
leave them in the tank. sometimes the shrimp like to nibble at the old molt for the calcium and iodine stored in it. Link to comment
FUGU!!!
how big is the bristle? Link to comment
mvite
You can leave it---but it will probably end up in a strainer or powerhead eventually. Link to comment
