wingsfan
I have a chance to get a 20 gal from a friend that he kept a rodent in,,,,I know that the tank is a small investment but money is money , my question is ,,,to be sure to get all of the contaniments out that might be in it , will it be ok to use some bleach water to wipe it down if I make sure it gets rinsed well, or should I use something else to clean it good , or should I just avoid this tank all together? I appreciat any info I can get on this,Thanks. Link to comment
onthefly
Use 10-20% bleach on the tank. Put it in the tank til its about 1-2" deep, then wipe down the sides. Wait 10min and repeat. Then rinse it really good (until the bleach smell subsides). Then place the tank outside for a day or two. Any bleach remaining will dechlorinate/volitilize and you're good to go! Don't breath during the whole process....you don't hant to catch Hanta! JK! Link to comment
