Sharpie129
I know its not a favorite of the people here but maybe someone can answer it for me. So I just got my emerald crab almost a week ago and she's got a green color to her but I've seen pictures of emeralds that are a lot greener. I'm wondering if there's a way to boost up that green color. I have a feeling it might get greener with the next molt since I'm sure she'll be less stressed and have better water quality. Any thoughts? Link to comment
Professor
My Emerald was pretty dull when I first got it, but gets greener with every molt. I have noticed that the carapace gets dull and lighter for about a week prior to the actual molting. The only problem is, the bloody thing seems to double in size with every molt! non-photosynt
Same with my emerald crabs. I had read somewhere here that they need more algae for a color, if not enough - give them nori. But I'm keeping them hungry, so they will eat valonia, what they don't want to do. Link to comment
