Catching a CBS

Nosferatu

I put my coral banded shrimp in an empty, yet cycled, tank I had while waiting for my new 75 reef and sump to be ready. Well, they've been ready for about 2 months now and I've begun stocking the once empty tank. The 1st purchases were a little dwarf lion and a 6" snowflake eel who I know will not be good tankmates forever, but at the moment are both smaller than the shrimp. Today I picked up the final inhabitant of this aggressive FOWLR, a baby porcupine puffer (4" maybe). I know that the shrimp is no longer safe in this tank, but he won't let me catch him and I would really like to not have to remove the LR to get the shrimp out.

When trying to catch him today, he dropped a claw which the puffer (on his 1st day nonetheless) promptly snatched up and chomped on all while the shrimp watched in what I'm sure was horror. Still wouldn't let me catch him though. Any tips on getting him out of harm's way and into my refugium?
