It has those small tube worms growing near it, so as it expands, it covers the worm's hard tube...and so the worm grows...and the cap grows over it...on and on...until I have the most odd looking cap with twenty little 'arms' growing into lobes right now... I used to have one ( about a foot or more from arm to arm) he lived with my volitan lion and yellow head eel, i had to almost hand feed the lion and eel cause the star would be the first one to eat the feeder fish. simply amazing how fast and smart those stars are. It would take down huge fish and just rap them up Link to comment
