pyrocreep
Wow, nice setup. Things like this make me want to start a frag tank, but then I realize that I don't even have any colonies worth fraging yet. Link to comment
Degener8
are you including the sump =water in the 50 gallon rating.. just curious because 48*24*8/231=39.89.... hair uder 40 gallons Link to comment

Is that's cheating? I may do a very thin sandbed just for visuals. Water got underneath the tank and smeared and it looks nasty. Day 2---- First test! PH - 8.2 Ammonia - 0.25 PPM Nitrite - 0 PPM Nitrate - 2.5 PPM First Chamber: Second Chamber: Third Chamber DIY Viewing Box: Everythings pretty messy, i'll clean it up when I get everthing where I want it. Billdemart
Freaking awesome. Exactly what I want. Shallow rimless frag tank. Link to comment
Zepo.
Added 30# (1/2 inch) of super fine grain sand to main tank mainly for looks which makes it 100% better looking. Also added eggcrate. I'm going to replace the K2 with either a k1 or nano as its way too strong. I'm running the actinics 10 hours, one halide for 5 hours, then the other for 5 hours to simulate the sun moving through the sky. Very cool effect. Link to comment
MikeW
Awesome tank man. My first though is that a 50G frag tank is definitely an overkill for only a 10G display. I don't mean any disrespect, just highly doubt you'll have enough stuff to fill that baby up. Link to comment

Then try to start selling coral not really for profit but for a side project/fun/way to pay for college tuition. Also way to expand my collection while selling the rest of the colony. Link to comment

Pictured updated. In First Post sure look better. i did the same thing too. i didn't like looking at the broad so i put sand in on the bottom to cover it. the only bad part is that you cant have high flow. i can see that the plug are working out nicely for you.
