neither of those are dimmable

and the par38 is not enough light plus you have to find a fixture for it to go into

Who says it's not enough light?

well you said that you would try to go with at least 8leds and the par38 has 5

you youngin's need to learn that sometimes it's not about quantity. But rather quality.

a par38 bulb over your barracuda will grow sps.

thats not what i said thats what evil said

ive researched and theres not realy a line on how many leds to amount of water or tank depth so i dont know if its enogh or not

i never said a light that doesnt dim is bad.

no but it has been said that it is much better and better for your corals to dim because if you dont have the ability to acilmate your corals to such high lighting that you can melt them like butter in a microwave

Window screen and/or raise light, and lower a bit at a time for a while.

plus i dont get to change my color temps

but i mean i can just by the 20K

PAR38 is the best choice for your tank, imo. It's not dimmable, but who cares.

yea wouldnt be bad aslong as i dont fry my corals lol and i can get my sps ( and my clam next year :) : no haters: )

i geuss the only REAL set back of the par38 would be the fixture and that i dont get to do the leds on my own lol
