p.o.t.u.s
no sump or skimmer? Link to comment
Travis
This is the pendant that I have over the tank. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/m...Code=Sunpendant I'm running a Hamilton 250w Magnetic Ballast with a Hamilton 14k. Yeah, no sump or skimmer. I ran a 7 gallon 12" cube for about 6 months with no sump or skimmer, only biological filtration, LR and LS, I got more growth in there than i ever did when the 20 had a sump and skimmer. Thanks guys Oh, and for anyone wondering how old the tank is, it's 14 months old. Link to comment

Fbarches
where in the world did you get that live rock, that has a lot of nice growth on it.... (jealous) nice tank though definite props... whats ur cuc/inhabitants... sorry for all the questions but you gotta tell your secret lol Link to comment
Travis
30 lbs of the LR was white, dry, base rock, the rock on the top was the 5 lbs of live rock. I have a few snails and hermites, but I really don't have any problems with algae. This is because my tank has matured and has been cycled for a long time now. Thanks guys I have a LiveAquaria order coming in tomorrow, pictures then. Link to comment
dpw1321
that looks amazing. especially without a sump or skimmer. Link to comment
Travis
Thanks guys dpw1321, yeah, I find my tank more relaxing now that i don't have to worry about equipment failing. Keep it simple and you have less to worry about. henry22, I ordered a yellow watchmen goby, orange bee sponge, halimeda algae, and a red formia milleporela sea star. Vic, thanks buddy, I loved your old hex tank, how's the new 70g (right?) going? Link to comment

henry22
I just dont understand how you keep your display so clean, and your sandbeds. To clean the glass, what do you use besides a magnet cleaner? Link to comment
Travis
A variety of tools. Toothbrush, fabric like filter floss, credit card, my finger nail, etcetera... lol Oh, and being really anal about clean glass is a big factor as well. Link to comment
