The AquaC EV120 skimmer is working good but sometimes it just doesn't skim for a day or two. Its pretty sensitive to any changes in water.

I'm thinking about switching the skimmer to a Bubble King Mini 160... Just not sure it will fit my sump. This guys review shows it needs 9"x10" footprint so it should fit... http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1571129

It's suppose to be super quiet and efficient.

Sadly, the power outage resulted in the rusty angel dying.. Everything seemed fine but this weekend he just went down hill. Maybe the lack of water circulation did something. The other fish seem fine tho..

I ended up picking up a Potter's Angel. I've seen one long ago and was lucky to find one today. The LFS even showed me he was eating flakes so that's a plus. Will post pics of him later. He's hiding too much right now.

Nice clownfish but I'am afraid those aren't Allardi, they look more like Clarkii to me. You can tell by their caudal fin, Allardi has white coloration on top of the caudal fin. My Allardi jumped last night````Also check this out

The owner of the lfs told me these were allardii... But i knew they werent last month when i saw a pair in the same lfs. I just never got around to updating the posts :). I actually want snowflake ocellaris now but my wife won't let me get rid of them. How long do these suckers live for lol. The big one harassed everything on the tank.

Is your tank open top?

That's a shame, because they are a really nice looking pair. Do they even harass the Angel?

They live for quite a while, averaging around 5 years.

Yep. Chloe owns the tank. The first few days I got the angel, Chloe would chase the angel none stop.. she finally chilled now and only chases her when she sees the angel.

Pretty funny we bump into each other while you're buying the actual trap. It was good seeing ya man, goodluck catching those little devils!

I manage to catch Chloe with the fish trap.. Got her in about 2 minutes.

Napoleon wasns't so easy though. He wouldn't get near the trap. I had to wait till lights out and netted him while he was snuggled in the anemone.. Took about 15 tries!!!

They went back to the LFS and hopefully someone else will give them a good home.

New less aggressive clowns coming soon...

Have you seen AquaSD down the street from Aquatic Warehouse?... They seriously have the best selection of zoa's in southern california. The owners are extremely friendly too.

I picked up a crocea clam there on Friday.

Just took some par measurements with the AI current setting at 31/40/40 raised 12" awl. Here's the readings:

I am going to bump up the percentages to 33/42/42 for Monday and hopefully can get it to around 50s over the next few weeks.
