itsyahboydanny
Hey NR! Just purchased a IM Lagoon 25. I want to build my own stand so I was wondering if anyone had a diagram of 2x4 placement of the frame for any tank so I would have an idea of how to go about it. Also should I use pressure treated wood? and what kind of plywood for the outside? Any help wood be appreciated Link to comment
WibblyPig
Don't use pressure treated wood. It is still very wet and will warp and twist as it dries. In actuallity, you don't need to use 2x4s at all. Depending upon your woodworking experience it can all be plywood or you can build it from 1x's and plywood. The plywood type depends upon your budget...you could get walnut or cherry faced $$$$ Birch faced $$ or simple A faced $ if you're going to paint it. Here's a good thread to read through to give you some ideas http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/367972-diy-stand-builders/#entry5225398 Link to comment
spectra
As stated above no 2x4s are needed, Check out my build thread as I built a stand for my fusion 20 and just used 3/4 poplar and 3/4 ply for the back. Link to comment
