Milkeeway
I have a 10 Gallon Nuvo Fusion by Innovative Marine with the stock Skky Light although I have noticed this with other tanks as well. If you turn the lights off you see straight through the glass and it looks super clean and clear, but with the lights on it just turns the side panels into mirrors and the whole tank just seems cloudy. I understand there's probably no real fix for it but I was just wondering if anyone felt the same way? Link to comment

Milkeeway
It really does clear up your water column. It is insane. Really interesting. Something I'd be interested in trying out. I don't know that my water ISN'T clear. It's just that mirror effect and light reflection just seem to make everything glow and look foggy in comparison to the lights off. Would be interesting to see if there was a difference though. This guy's tank looks super clear lol.. I definitely wont claim to be the best but I keep a mix of sps and lps and have never used a skimmer. 12 Gallons Check out some of the TOTMs there are quite a few SPS nanos on there. Link to comment
Benny314
Could be a number of things, from organic particles suspended in the water column to micro bubbles being produced by a skimmer or pump drawing air and being blown into the tank causing your cloudiness. The mirroring should happen regardless of lights on or not as it's all about refraction of light in water. Looking diagonally across your tank either from the front pane to the sides or the side to the front and back or from any pane up at the waters surface, the panes your looking at or waters surface will appear to be mirrors as the water is distorting the light.
