Cameron6796
OOOOOO lucky. I just got a job so I can hopefully get a tank going. Link to comment
Ahanix
Light and heater arrived, everything else will be here Friday - Ready to get this tank set up! Trying to decide if I am going to cycle the rock outside the tank, or just set it all up and let it sort itself out Link to comment
Smithjm5
I'm excited for you haha! I say throw it all in there! Link to comment

Ahanix
I'm thinking about picking one of these up myself. Great looking tank! I've been pretty impressed with it so far, I'm having some reservations about taking to work with how much I like it... haha - I need to just get it set up and not worry about it. I only need one more thing, which is either a Kessil Controller, Timer, or an Apex Jr... On the fence about it because of spending more money on this little thing. Link to comment
kwsjimmy
Get the apex Jr. And you can add the kessel cable to add full control for your light Get the apex Jr. And you can add the kessel cable to add full control for your light Link to comment

Ahanix
Here's the tank with the light on it. Going to get everything hooked up to make sure it's all running correctly before I get it moved and set up at work. Link to comment

Thanks, I just picked up the Spectral today so I think I'm set with everything. Going to get the tank running with tap water tonight just to make sure it's all working correctly and then I'll get everything actually set up on Monday. Link to comment
Ahanix
Small, stupid update. Instead of ordering new netting (which I probably will do later) I decided to mod the frame that came with the tank, and paint it black since it was an eyesore. that being said, I will be purchasing a new screen kit, and netting eventually... Although just like my fusion I'll probably just forego the top all together (unless I get a jawfish) As you can see, it still blocks a bit of light, not too bad but enough to make it annoying Link to comment
Ahanix
Tank is finally wet, waiting for the water to clear before I post some more pictures of it Here's how the temporary stand situation turned out. Link to comment
Ahanix
And now the wait begins. hid some LR in the back and a used filter sponge with some frozen food added so hopefully that will kickstart the cycle. Going to go with a Blue Spot Jawfish for this tank and a mix of LPS/Zoas Link to comment
Hussar
Very nice !! Please keep putting up pics!! Do you find the Fiji Pink blowing around too much? Really like the Kessil. That SHIMMER!!! Link to comment
Dramad1
Looking pretty sweet. How deep is that sand bed? You may want it a lil deeper if planning on going with a bluespot. I have a friend who has one and he suggests a deep sand bed and keeping a slightly cooler tank temp, preferably around 72*. I have always wanted one but have never had a tank with the right conditions. Link to comment

I've had Fiji pink in the last 3 tanks that I have done, and once it settles it's perfect in my opinion. Can get it to blow around a little bit though if I crank the Vortech to 100% Looking pretty sweet. How deep is that sand bed? You may want it a lil deeper if planning on going with a bluespot. I was thinking about that too - the bed is about an inch deep, so I may have to forego the BSJ for the time being. Link to comment

Thankfully I used 80% of the water that went in the tank from my main tank that has been up for a year, in addition to feeding the tank with some frozen food, and using a filter sponge out of my other tank when I did the water change. Hoping it doesn't have too much of a cycle, I will probably test next Friday to see where I am at. Link to comment
