Marine Depot
Am I crazy, or does that aquamedic pump, including the controller, have a strong resemblance to a jebao? Looks a lot like the Jebao for sure!!! This has been Aqua Medic's response to those observations: Although the EcoDrift is similar to the Jebao pumps, there are a few key differences that separate the two. For starters, the EcoDrift pumps move 20% more water due to the patented impeller design. As you can see in the video, the EcoDrift also is complete with rubber mounts to reduce vibration and noise making this pump dead silent and is made with 20% stronger plastic to increase durability and lifespan of the pump. Aqua Medic worked closely with Jebao on the design of the controller, the interface is identical, however the internals are much different. Aqua Medic felt the wiring of the Jebao controller was not up to par and has higher fail rates. For this reason, Aqua Medic wired their controller with higher quality internals that increase the lifespan of the controller. Perhaps this is the reason why Aqua Medic's EcoDrift comes with a 1 year manufacture warranty, while the Jebao pumps do not. Link to comment

If I wasnt so sceptical I would get one to look at these "beefer" internals Thanks for the reply! Link to comment
jedimasterben
I still like how the MD blog page is using metrokat's tank with a poorly photoshopped Radion over it. They even made it rimless. Link to comment
Halo_003
On the T5 link, someone mixed up the bulb combinations. For the 10K white column, all 3 rows (4.6, 8 bulbs) show the same thing, x2Blue x1White x1Purple. The others are all fine. Link to comment
