Yes I did it again!

It seems every time I fill my ato container I always forget to turn off RO/DI. So from 12 am to 7 am I watered my laundry room which then flowed into my bedroom. I have done this more than once, just never to this extreme. Why do I forget this.

I liked your post just so I could unlike it. I've done the same many times, but with a booster pump it makes it quite a bit worse. 5 gallons in around 45 minutes is a shitload of water to have on the floor :o

Y'all need to set timers...

I do, but if, for instance, the water is a little cooler than normal the production rate is lower and doesn't fill as fast, so I leave it for a few more minutes and forget. :D

sounds like I need to get a booster pump..

Yep. I think I'm pushing 90PSI to the membrane. If I weren't lazy I'd up the pressure on the pump even more. The main benefit is a much higher rejection rate. Post-RO TDS from before was around 5-6, now it is a steady 2. Tripled DI resin life.

yeah, I think I would actually benefit greatly from one, we have lower water pressure because we're on a well, and I know that contributes to my higher post-ro tds and ridiculously slow output.. takes several hours to fill my 7g jugs..

I recently installed a booster pump. 90psi 5g in 45 mins.

You should get a float valve for your container and tie it in to the supply line of the RODI so you'll quit flooding the house.

I've flooded several things in my day. It never ends well. I set several timers 10 mins apart on my phone to make sure I go shut it off

Menards sells a water alarm for $5-$7. It runs on a 9 volt battery and has saved my ass several times. I have now installed a float valve but I still use the alarm. You just set it on the floor where you are making water. It will wake you from your deepest slumber.

That's what I did. :) My wife was getting really tired of flooding the bathroom floor. It works great. Got mine from BRS.

I'm glad so many of us have done this. I don't feel so dumb now. I've actually gone to sleep before and forgot I was filling my 20 gal trash can and only woke up because of the steady trickle sound of water falling on the bathroom floor. Its not such a bad thing though. It forces me to clean the bathroom floor about once a month.

I tell my wife "won't happen again no way". Now I just give her more reasons to say "see you never remember anything". Hey at least I have another reason to justify buying a shop vac.

Two days ago during water change and cleaning I pushed up th loc line to scrub behind it, then turned the water back on and didn't point it back in the tank. Not sure if the scotch guard was made for saltwater but the couch sure was thirsty. Damn the luck. I didn't tell her about that one. :)

Put your RODI jug in the wash machine and fill it ;).
