Looking around the store spotted some new tanks I hadnt seen before and fell in love with look of the 30L and had the owner order me one. First one came with the baffles smashed from playing ping pong with the return pump but lucky for me the second came in tip top shape. This is going to be a slower build as Im waiting on equipment to be released. StrainedSky Posted July 3, 2014 Author Share Posted July 3, 2014 From my understanding they only cover 24", I could go with the xr30w with the wide angle lenses but like the idea of being able to space out the lights. This is what Im thinking for my aquascape, over the weekend holiday its getting an acid bath. Link to comment

Ya, it is hard to light something beyond 24''. It's true that the xr30w will only cover 24'', but the outer 6 inches will be very poorly lit. Going with your plan, you will still lose light in the middle even if you space them out with the wide angle lens. I am curious to see what happen with your light spread. What kind of corals do you plan on keeping? Link to comment

I've thought staying with the xr30 Pro now that Ive had it above the tank for a week or so. Let me know what you think of the wide lenses as that thought has also crossed my mind. Does anyone see a problem with running two Minimax reactors in the return area ? Thanks! Link to comment

I always liked the Pukani rock, and afer seeing yours, I'm convinced it's my favorite. Did you settle for 1 Xr-30 vs 2-Xr-15? BTW, I have a picture of my grandparents next to my tank. For a second, I thought to myslelf, "Now how did he get a picture of grandma and grandpa"? lol Link to comment

For a second, I thought to myslelf, "Now how did he get a picture of grandma and grandpa"? lol If I remember correctly I got 20#'s, it Tropic Eden Mini flakes, the mp10's do move it but in my experience once the tank matures more it won't be a problem. I'm still running a XR30 Pro but I'm going to be ordering the RMS and XR15's. Link to comment

Since the original pictures above I have drained,emptied and cleaned the tank. Even after acid washing the Pukani I couldn't get it to stop leaching so I tore down the tank. I removed the light bar I had an added the RMS and added Wide Angle lenses to my xr30w Pro instead of going with 2x xr15w's. I also went with Reef flakes this time so I could increase my flow with out a sand storm and ordered 30#'s of Manado. If you are on the fence with this rock don't be, it is by far the nicest rock I've had. Anyways to the pictures : Link to comment
