You are on the end of the cycle I find when diatoms start soon the ammonia will drop.

Alright

I think I will wait a bit to be safe, but what are peoples thoughts on CUC?

I like the prices on reefcleaners.org, but am looking around at my options.

Best,

JB

Also, when the time comes... Corals!!! any specific ones?

fully cured means not likely to have a cycle... but if it was shipped out of water then you will still have a cycle.

It was in 3 days transport so I assume there was certainly some die off. Right now I am just trying to figure out if the cycle is near done.?

Maybe the size of your tank has something to do with it? You had your nitrate spike and decline right?

For a cuc on a tank that small IMO only a couple of snails and a small crab of some type probably a hermit maybe. I usually get most of my cuc locally since I am never to sure of the problem algae might crop up. All tanks have growing pains some seem to get everyone possible others only one or two.

For corals stick with something simple that won't over tank a tank so small. If you go with a mushroom make sure it isn't the kind that leaves little ones when it moves but one that splits to reproduce something like a ricordea, It is probably easier to start with a list of cautions in a small tank gsp, kenya tree, blue cloves, and xenia are the things I would really be careful about adding to a tank. I am sure others will add to that list I have a teal paly that I would consider invasive.

It is great to see the little hitchhikers coming out. What kind of corals did you get?

For some reason I got 6 corals in the mail. Plus there are a lot of palys of different types of corals, which is cool.

I think I might do a full review of cultivated reef ltr.

I did spot my first bristol worm though. Barely a length of a fingernail and as thin as it could be.

You got a nice assortment, keep an eyes on the green star polyps. The armor of god is some the fastest growers I have :)
