I got a bunch from reefs2go (be aware some were starving and need to be brought back) and Live Aquaria has them on diver's den fairly often.

Reefs2go.com had a deal a few days ago

I think I've read that these guys are actually cladopsammia, and that they are a cold water species that require much more feedings if kept in a warmer tank.

Also, be REALLY weary of buying these NPS corals online. Most vendors don't feed them at all, and by the time you get them they'll be starving and wasting away. I would only recommend getting a coral that you know is extending well and eating properly. Hobbyists are the best resources for these guys.

Not sure how to tell the difference but I bought a orange, black, and dendro from reefs2go. The orange was in bad shape. The other two were okay. They are all doing well now with feedings every 2-3 days (yaya, I will feed more soon).

When it comes to reefs2go though, I doubt there is much consistency or proper IDing with what they are selling.

I got two sun corals from Diver's Den and both arrived in good shape.

Not sure if there's such thing as a black dendro, you mean sun coral right?

Yes, sorry. I left out the word sun coral :) Meant to say both an orange and black sun coral AND a dendro :)

Can't seem to find them anywhere, please let me know if you know where I could purchase. Thanks!

You could try Neptune's Reef in West Los Angeles. Expensive as hell but they had some monster fat head dendro for sale last time I went.

I think I've read somewhere that they're illegal to export now, which is why you don't really see them offered anymore, and what you see offered as dendros is usually cladopsammia

Yes the fatheads are illegal but some retail stores are still getting them illegally through Canada. Please don't support stores that are using this practice.
