Dylan.N
Awesome. Those are the 2 best stores I've found in our area. Everyone at living reef is pretty cool! I like Living Reef because of how close it is. But Top Shelf always has amazing corals and the sales once or twice a month can't be beat. They've been bragging on Facebook about all of their new livestock. Hopefully another sale is coming up. Link to comment
nemosworld
Looking good, does that window have a shade? You will be battling algae in no time if you don't block the light from that window. Link to comment
Dylan.N
Yes there are blinds. The sun rises directly into the window so when I wake up I close the blinds, and open them a little before sundown. Very happy with how fast the water is clearing. Pictures coming soon. Link to comment
Dylan.N
iPhone picture time! I'm going to move the rocks back an inch or two after I chip off the corner on the flat piece. Full spectrum: All blue: Love this cave-like structure Link to comment
hinnenkm
Looks good! I'm excited to see where this goes because I got the same tank a couple weeks ago now and downsized from my biocube. I love everything about it so far and hope you do too. Good luck! Link to comment
ReachTheSky
Looks good so far! That light is just insane lol Link to comment
Dylan.N
Thanks! Yea the light is great. We have 2 of those in the apartment now. We don't even need ceiling lights anymore lol. Just chipped off that corner edge and moved the rocks further back. Made a world of difference. I'll let the water settle over night and post a new FTS. Link to comment

Dylan.N
Water is now completely clear. Love the look. Much more room in the front now I'm sure this is where the cleaner shrimp will spend most of his time Link to comment
Reefkid88
Ahhh that's one sleek tank !! So many low irons floating around here now lol. Nice to see another local reefer. Have you stopped by the store down the street from Top Shelf ? Link to comment
Dylan.N
I just saw that store on the map the other day. I'll have to check it out next time I go to Top Shelf. Link to comment
Reefkid88
I warn you before hand, they can be kind of rude and standoff'ish. I walked in and I walked around the store for about 10 minutes before they asked me if I needed help, but the prices are okay. Have you been to Oceans Direct yet ? Link to comment
Dylan.N
Haven't heard of Oceans Direct. I see that's up in Longwood. If I'm ever up there I'll check it out. Link to comment
Reefkid88
It's a worth the drive, they have a huge selection and even a $5,$10,$15,$20 section. They have a lot of colonies too. I've been going to George for about 4.5 years now. Link to comment
Dylan.N
Worked on the rockscape more today. I moved the rocks on the edges closer to the front to create more of a "U" effect. Link to comment

Dylan.N
Tweaked the rockscape again lol. I wish I could add some height to these rocks but I've tried all different angles and nothing will do it. Wish I picked better rocks but oh well. I split up the 2 rocks on the left, so now its 3 main rocks separated from each other with the flat piece connecting the 2 rocks on the right still. I'll post a pic when the water clears. Nanofreak79
Scaping can be a real pain in the arse. I like using dry rock for that reason alone, and then seed with some live rock and sand. Can't wait to see the new scape though! Link to comment
