gena
I will be going from 36x16.5x24 to 36x18x18. So the lights will be WAY closer to the corals so better penetration (guys behave) and more depth so I will have more sand bed. I am thinking about going with the regular 40# LS in the 40B and running a DSB in the Fuge. Say close to 4" deep, 15 mangroves or so and a TON a Macro with a damsel or 2 and a shrimp. Stand WILL be completed this weekend. I was hoping the height would be not as tall. I love those dimensions!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!! Link to comment

Stand and Tank will have to be done next weekend as funding is a bit low.... Had a last minute get together with the little brother and now we have leftover beer but not the $$$ for the plywood and stain. Im okay with that, next week will be a good week! Has to be! FlCandy
So I have pics of EVERY fish today! Horrible but Cute See the nub! It's 1/3 of a Xenia branch that decided it didn't like where it was and attached to the rock then split from the main colony. Goby/Smurf house with Kreme watching out. Other side Good pic of Poe Had to relocate the red skirted zoas, they blew away and I had to hunt them down. Not a good time. Starting to spread out more Splitting Froggie Xerxes! Poe trying to run him off his front porch! Pretty Main Rock Pile FTS 4-14-12 A few minutes after being yelled at by that grumpy Blenny Fat @$$ Chowing on a Pod I can just imagine this in 6-8 months. Changa Chimi So that is the dump for now, If I get anything else worth dumping on you guys I will do! Link to comment

banshee
The clams are really cool but they terrify me! I'm not even sure why considering I already jumped into nems. Maybe I'm just dumb. Link to comment
gena
Oh.....purple and green sounds perfect!!!!! Next time you see one, get a picture of it!!!!! Clams scare me too. Though as meticulous as I am with my tanks, I'm sure I'd do a good job of taking care of one. I just don't like how big they get. Link to comment

It's an OKAY pic not great, it was under MH and the reflection was harsh! Banshee if you can keep a nem alive you can keep a Clam. Just get confident first, I KNOW when I have the clam I will need to dose Calcium, and others, means more test kits and more dosing materials. But I love it. Soon I will have an ATO and then a doser. I will fully AUTOMATE this tank! Eventually..... Now ? for you guys, If I get the cleaner a smaller friend will he stop harassing my Goby. He sits over that den of the Yasha and pistol when I feed and they only ever get a little bit of food. Meanwhile there is food everywhere else in the tank..... If so I will grab one after the tank is moved etc but I am actually considering trading him in for a fire Cleaner Just because. Link to comment
JoelRHale
A lone cleaner and a pair of cleaners might as well be two different species. my pair is so clique-ish they just stay to themselves and clean fish and forage. They seem a lot more calm in pairs. Link to comment

HOT The one I was drooling over was the purple with the green rim, just didn't have the timing right and he was gone last Tues. They get HOT clams in every week, not worried about it. Link to comment

FlCandy
Happy Sunday ... in the market for a clam darlin? You too! And yes I have been for a while but I want to wait until AFTER the tank is moved and etc so I have the room on the sand bed for it etc. But there will be a clam and probably an open brain soon after it's moved into the 40B. Also I was asked by my niece today if I could get a fish for my tank and name it after her. Well thats so convenient as I planned on a damsel for the Fuge. So I have a plan of 2-3 Yellow Tail damsels (maybe 2 of them and 1 other) and one being named after her in there along with the Macros and Mangroves. Hahah it is going to be a true display SUMP like KG's and I plan on having most of the tank being visible. So clam and brain for me soon! Link to comment
surgicalsense
Sweet!!! I can't wait for your update with your new additions for your 40b. L wants a clam, but I do not know if I would be able to keep one in my tank. Link to comment
FlCandy
Once you get the SPS down you can manage a clam. I am radically changing the design of the SUMP/Fuge, I will post pics tomorrow of what I think will work for me..... I want more Display room in the FRONT not sectioned there, but in the back left instead.... IDK I will draw it and show you give me a few hours. Link to comment
