Collinw24
I just ordered 45 more pounds of live rock. :D :D It should be here on march 18! I was going to cure it in a 45 gallon trash can with an octopus xp-2000 cone skimmer and a korallia 4. Will this be a decent rock curing setup? I was going to do a 10 gallon water change every other day, should this be enough? Link to comment

matt frizz
Is that a Sailfin tang? How long are you gonna keep him in there and how long do you think until he gets too big? I want to keep a tang until it outgrows my 55 G as well and I'm wondering how long it will be. Link to comment

If you want a tang for a 55 I would get a yellow tang. You could keep a yellow in the tank for his whole life. Link to comment

Yellows get to be dinner plate sized. I'd go with a bristletooth tang like a Kole or a tomini if it's going to be confined to a 55. Nice looking tank. I like the blue background. Good looking sailfin too. Makes me miss mine. Link to comment
Collinw24
lovin the chemipure! It makes the tank look so much better! Link to comment
Nor_Cal_Cuber
I have had a sailfin for over a year in a 55g, just upgraded to 72g bow front, still 4' tank and he doesn't seem to be growing fast at all. I'm guessing it's the small tank. Nice start on your 55g. Are you going to sump it any time in the near future? Watch that flame angel, I had a hell of a time catching one that nipped at my duncan corals. Link to comment
