sergieo7
Good morning all.First, Happy Veterans Day to those that served before me and...Thank You.So I had an extra piece of rock I picked up for the current 6 gal reef. Didnt fit and then an opportunity to pick up a Nuvo Pico 4 landed in front of me. I saw this a sign so here we are.Currently it has 3 pieces of rock, roughly about 3 #'s total weight. Back chamber has a sponge to snag the particles and some purigen.Plans for this are simple. Non overly demanding coral but also colorful. Perhaps an invert or two or maybe a yellow goby. Obviously nothing too large and would love to find a fish or invert that would be suited for this but in no rush to add it.Lightning needs an upgrade, currently using a light from an evolve 4 but planning on this..https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M0PF72P/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2QXJ5P4W1APCDBack chamber..purigen?? chemipure?? Ideas? Thoughts? Recommendations? Link to comment

sergieo7
Thanks! that's what i was going for. Agreed, the light caught my eye but I do like how clean the current fixture looks, and thought of maybe adding another blue LED, there's a spot in the middle that is free and clear but not sure If I can "DIY" it. Also, looking for some nice colored macro.. any ideas where I can find some that wont cost a ton?? Link to comment

Reefkid88
That is the best single piece of rock I have seen in awhile,so simple. Maybe look into these par bulbs: https://sbreeflights.com/sbox-nano-reeffuge/11-spar38-reef.html For this one either the reef version of the refugium version which Id probably use myself: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01G4BRRN6/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1479130072&sr=8-2&keywords=reef+radiance https://coralcompulsion.myshopify.com/collections/24w-par38/products/24w-par38-led-14k-full-spectrum-g3-non-dimmable-reef-light https://coralcompulsion.myshopify.com/products/14w-par30-led-18k-vibrance-reef-light Link to comment

At first I though they were microbubbles but upon shutting off the pump I notices swimming.. look like tiny crustaceans .. baby Mysid? ] Link to comment
jack1978
Great looking tank....and nice job on the scape! As soon as you add a fish, your little Sea Monkeys will be gone....or at the very least, drastically reduced. Great fish food. Link to comment
Reefkid88
That scape would make for a good nps tank. Link to comment

Thanks! yeah no fish in this one, i'm thinking way too small unless I do something like a yellow clown goby. But it didn't take a fish..the "sea monkeys" are gone! That scape would make for a good nps tank. now that's an idea!! So over the weekend I scored a coco worm ... not the healthiest but can't beat free and I'm hopeful. click for clip! Link to comment
