reefhound
I started out setting up an Mandarin tank and wound up with 2 Pipefish.. and the problem of feeding live food. I thought I would share a few things I've learned, and possibly learn more. I started with the idea of walling off a corner of my tank, filling it with macro algae, and dumping in some pods (tisbe)... although they reproduced rapidly, the setup was weak and my small blueline would simply swim thru the 1/4 inch holes and pigout.. get stuck.. and have to be rescued. for the fix, I bought 2 acrylic tank dividers (pre-drilled), some .100 Kydex, some acrylic pins, and some Weldon 16 acrylic glue. I've ordered some more Cheato (not in yet) to fill the 2 algae chambers and top. I've dumped in some PODs (slowly) and they seem to be staying put note: both kydex and acrylic can be formed with a small butane torch notice the acrylic spacer between the acrylic and kydex.. plenty of surface area for pods to stay on after algae grows Link to comment
