otaku521
Hi everyone!! The tank got in lil unknown accident that the glass was cracked at the seams. Even thought it was not appeared leaking I worried that one day it will explode and massive flooding / lost of life. So I parted with my OLD aquarium that I have used for like 3-4 years and got this: Truck made the deliver @ the rain... @.@ Moved my old tank and beginning transfer into new Used NEW sands (Argonite this time instead of just normal white sand) Filled with half new salt water (RODI) Fill in the other half with my tank water - then move all my rocks and corals and fish over then move my Eheim 2217 canister ( loaded wth matrix+purigen+bio pellets XL ) into the tank Afterwards moved my circulation pump over (Jebao Wp10 x 2 - running ELSE mode @ S1) one thing that I got annoyed is that the brace is too thick @ 3.2cm - I slide in my protein skimmer (BM Q3) into and it snapped the holder and also the water output on the skimmer is too short which it was outputing water into the brace (which will lead to flood - 1/3 of all the tank water leaked on the floor in the morning... I mopped like crazy this sunday morning... ) Replaced with new salt water using RODI and immediately went back to the LFS to replace with an internal HYDOR SLIM SKIM skimmer installing this SOB is a PITA with the magnet holder kept coming off and the construction is SOOOO flimsy its even worst than those China brand made skimmer! IMHO this skimmer is only to in its place until I decided to switch to a sump later this year Here is the photo with the NEW Skimmer Tank Spec: Kotobuki BLADE-kx 24x18x20 (60cm x 45cm x 50cm) - 36 US Gallons / 140 Liters Equipment: Eheim 2217 Canister Filter - (No Sponge, loaded with Seachem Matrix (5L), Seachem Purigen (100ml), BioPellets XL) AquaOne 100 HOB with LED lamp Mod Taped on top on clear cover - (Made into refuguim loaded with Chaeto) Hydor Slim Skimmer 250 Wavepoint 4x24W Tube T5HO (2 Blue + 2 Violet/Pink) Sand: 9L Bag of Argoite Sand Fish: 2 Clown Fish 1 Yellow Wrasse Shrimp: 2 Monkey Shrimp (Saron Shrimp?) 1 Camel Shrimp Coral: 1 Elegence 1 Match Sticks 1 Colony of "Dragon Eyes" Zoa 2 Fire Cracker 2 Acans 1 Leather 1 Colony of 'Finger' Corals (3 leads) 1 Hammer 'Kidney' Coral 1 Flower Pot Coarl 3 NPS Gorg Seafans (?)
