ultimate sps only Posted February 16, 2013 Share Posted February 16, 2013 So i got my tax return and went shopping! which was nice because ive always had faster groth and color without a skimmer, a sump, a chiller, chemicals etc.. call me an idiot but we didnt have 1 skimmer in our 2000 gallon store in alaska including the 200 gallon frag tank just do waterchanges religiously so heres what i got and heres all you need if you never want a self reliable system jbj 8 rimless ai nano led/wireless new controller tunze nano osmo top off highly recommend it its amazing put together a custom stand just ask if you want to know what i did new neo therm 50 watt flat heater temp is constant 79 for 3 days day and night(owend a store reefs for 9 years best heater ive owned) ehopps frag cave and both rocks which have frag plugs in them chemi pure elite seachems purigen zeovit nano power (recommend to everyone) two little fishies nano scrubber mp10 es not here yet might return and get the tunze 6015 instead and spend the money elsewhere (need help with this decision so chime in!) loved my mps but ive read and researched and the new tunze turbelles would do the job for me thats about it im sure i forgot somethingthing but thats all anyone needs to run a nano imo A little background on me names Ryan I moved to pensacola fl recently and i owned a reef store in alaska and sold it out and finally got the time to put this together it will have some very high end sps from zeovit and some scoly and rare zoos on the bb. I'm sure the AI posse will be in here soon lol hey clayton i see you found my new account i checked out your ada looks nice man you should hook me up with some contacts around town for some good rare frags as you can see theres not a whole lot of realistate in this lil guy (bigger in person lol) so i dont want the norm but if i cant find anything i talked to koralled zutch they said they would send me 4 large frags/small colonies of their finest acros but its gunna be like 500 bucs and all the way from germany so let me know if theres anything around here Link to comment

Tank Bred Aquatics in destin is open today, they have been holding all of their SPS, but are supposed to start selling them here soon. Also Capt Jab on FPRS has a FS thread with a few nice acro's. Not very many SPS keepers around here. At least not of the rare stuff. I plan on doing a cultivated reef and vivid order in mid- to late March so if they have anything you want I can get you free shipping. JonW also has a wholesaler account and usually passes on the discounts, he's over on FPRS. Usually has a FS listing ever couple of weeks. Link to comment

From the looks of the picture, I think he got everything from marinedepot (I see a free t shirt) And no. The light is made by Aqua Illumination and does not come with the tank. Now get out of that dark dark cave you've been hiding in and catch up on the new technology For the OP congrats on the new build. And why the move the p-cola? Are you in the military? I got everything from marine depot and no the light did not come with it which i like because the tank was cheap and i could get whatever light i want i have some cool videos of the light but theres a bunch on youtube its the aqua alluminations nano with new controller.. amazing little piece of art thats smaller than my hand packed with high end cree leds that over a wide spectrum. light cost 299 i think and controller war 80 bucs and i got a free wireless adapter coming when they release it thanks to marine depot clayton what substrate is in the ada? Been here a year not a dull moment yet my chopper, beaches, fishing, and my lap bunny(girlfriend) about all i need ....Im still trying to decide if i want to stay barebottom i tinted the top of my stand so right now the bottom is black and looks good but i do like reef grade sands although i did a water change today took less than 5 mins to do a 50% and clean everything and its crystal clear so im thinking if i just fill the bottom with utltra scoly and no sand and fill with some cans or zoos thattl work too Link to comment

ultimate sps only Posted February 21, 2013 Author Share Posted February 21, 2013 so heres some softies/lps i got today just to test the waters which im not to worried about but its the smallest system ive ever set up and just wanted something to look at while i find the exact corals i want and have a boat load of cash...so i will probably grow these guys out for a month or two and trade/give to someone local.....keep in mind i just put these in today so their still opening a bit but all looks well also note these are under the ai nano 8% white 9%blue 9%purple but have a tinted piece of plexi ove the top for the blasto to be under while it acclimates...i did crank the light up to a whopping 17% for all colors and everything popped crazy collors the blasto turned red/blue/green/yellow so hopefully i can get them acclimated to take higher light successfully and take some pics of the crazy color Link to comment
