Amdphenomx4
I've been working on planning this for a while and have come up with this as a layout and LED selection. The royal blue LEDs are Luxeon M Royal Blue driven at either 700mA or 1000mA. The neutral white will be Cree MK-R from cutter or another Cree seller. The warm white will be Cree MK-R from cutter or another Cree seller. The either the warm white or the neutral white will be ran off of a 1000mA driver, with the other on a 700mA driver. The 6 empty slots are for future additions such as 3 up Luxeons or 3 up violet. The total cost is about 150 dollars including everything which will be:4 Luxeon M Royal Blue2 Cree MK-R Neutral White or Luxeon M if MK-R is difficult to acquire2 Cree MK-R warm White or Luxeon M if MK-R is difficult to acquire1 MakersLED 12" heatsink1 RS-150-48 Meanwell 150W 48V power supply at 51V2 MeanWell LDD-1000H1 MeanWEll LDD-700HThis light will be for a 60G cube of water. A simple arduino will control the channels using Cat5 to send the PWM. Misc other parts like paste and opticsI basically have created a light that outputs a bit more than the Radion in royal blue at 700mA, and much more light in white even though the color temperatures are lower than cool white. Trogdor447
14 total for a 60g cube? what are you planning on keeping? It should light it ok but par might become a slight issue Link to comment
Amdphenomx4
The LEDs are 12W emitters. In total, they will output more than the Radion in both white and royal blue as I said above. Here is my comparison list. 8 XT-E white at 5W vs 3 MK-R at 12W vs 4 MK-R 12W 3447.2 vs 3645 aprox 4860 8XTE RB 5w vs 9 Luxeon RB 3w edit, vs 3 Luxeon M R Blue at 700mA 15600 vs 13104 vs 16800 Link to comment
