Surface Skimmer attachment

I tried to make something similar, but it didn’t work out.. :-(

The surface skimmer attachment is actually made to fit all AC filters and some other brands. It works great skimming the surface keeping it crystal clear and it slows down the flow so much that the fuge doesn't create a sandstorm. That way I didn't need to shave down the impeller on the AC 500 or do anything else to slow down the flow. You can buy it for like $10 or cheaper at places like Marine Depot or Big Al's.
