Considering this is on a tooth pic and how close your hand will be holding it, it will deflect some of the flow. Try my method. Fill up a syringe with the Alkalinity part of two part or water with baking soda. When added to the tank it will make a little white cloud for a couple seconds. When adding it to specific spots you will be able to visualize the flow.

^That's a good idea too, but the pic above looks longer than a toothpick...more like a shish-kabob skewer, so it should work fine.

or get an MP10/20/40 and never worry about the dead spots...

Nice! I have a feeling it'd only confirm the benefits of a second MP10 for me though.

Soundman is right, it's a shish-kabob skewer. I'll probably end up using the MP10 because I'm finding alot of low current spots that I didn't expect.
