Dasani Posted August 11, 2010 That's the most SPS I've ever seen in a tank under 40g..... I LOVE it. Quote Link to comment
PODPIMP Posted August 11, 2010 Thanks guys. Glad you like the tank. jjjo, that yellow acro is in my gallery as "green fire" (under actinics). I have no idea what type of acro it actually is. I bought a frag last year from a local reefer. Quote Link to comment
billgil1 Posted August 11, 2010 Awesome tank man. I just broght a 34 gallon Solana. I upgraded from an aquapod 24. What type of lighting are you running and any upgrades that you have done to your tank would be helpful. Looks awesome man.... Quote Link to comment
PODPIMP Posted August 11, 2010 Thanks octoman! billgil1, thanks. I am running an ATI powermodule 6 bulb T5 fixture. Ugrades include a deltec MCE 600 skimmer, 2x vortech mp10's for flow, phosban reactor, tunze auto topoff, and a reefkeeper lite controller. Quote Link to comment
RockinSmall Posted August 11, 2010 i've been watching the progress, even save the picts. Just stunning!!!! What the hell am i doing wrong? Your corals are on steroids! Quote Link to comment
PODPIMP Posted August 11, 2010 RockinSmall, besides keeping the water very clean I noticed a huge increase in growth since i switched from MH to T5's. The powermodule is damn bright and the corals grow very dense under the T5's Quote Link to comment
billgil1 Posted August 11, 2010 Hey sorry just one more question. Did a little resaerch on the lighting you suggested. The dimensions on the top of my tank are 20" wide and the smallest ATI fixture that I can find is a 24". Currently running the Solana pendant 150W fixture that I upgarded with a Phoenix 14k. Thanks in advance.... Quote Link to comment
PODPIMP Posted August 11, 2010 The ATI fixture is actually 22 1/2" long. The overhang really isn't too noticeable. Quote Link to comment
billgil1 Posted August 11, 2010 Sounds awesome. Their are several models. How many watts is the one that you are using? Promise this is the last question... Bill Quote Link to comment
PODPIMP Posted August 11, 2010 I am using the 6x24w powermodule. If I were to do it again I would have bought the sunpower and saved a little cash. They both put out the same amount of light. Quote Link to comment
RockinSmall Posted August 13, 2010 ive been fighting the t-5's b/c ive been old scool for so long. I am gunna upgrade my 75 to a 150g or 180g, perhaps i will go with t-5's. i imagine the cost is greater than metal halides... Quote Link to comment
