I taped a flashlight over the tank for my lighting.

cool, i have a flashlight too. it has a 1w led in it (i think 6700K) should I start a new 1 gallon tank and put nems in it from day 1?

also does the tape double as a heat sink? brilliant!

With the flashlight yes, but i have to say no on the 1 gallon.

But make sure you feed it well.

Anemones dont really get THAT much nutrition from lighting, its more like a supplemental feeding (like eating a candy bar between meals).

When it comes to an anemone, the first most important thing is water quality, followed by feedings, followed by lighting. People jump on the lighting thing way too much and pass up the fact that someones tank could be ammonia soup. Water quality will kill a nem faster than lighting any day.

Yes these are my feelings on nems, but i was joking about the flashlight lol.

shes got multiple tanks, the nem is in an older one.
