how are you heating this?

Thank you reefers. The flow is controlled with an AZOO Mignon 60 Palm Filter. It has a flow adjuster which is nice. Right now the tank is cooled by an external Ice Probe like device... water moves through the small chiller inline via a Tom's Aquatic Aqua Lifter. The intake and return are inside the filter with the return dripping onto the chute. When it starts to get chilly I use a small AZOO titanium heater that is about the size of a Sharpie. The lighting is a Coralife Aqualife Mini 9w 10k + 9w Actinic removed from its case.

Dont you need a skimmer then on that size tank

No skimming...or chemical filtration. The filter floss is there to protect the intake of the chilling pump. There are no fish and the shrimp and crabs are only fed a small flake once a week.
