fiction101 Posted September 13, 2008 there's a good chance they will die in that small tank... Quote Link to comment
CMonkey Posted September 13, 2008 Oh really... How long do you think they'll last because I have the Blue Tang for over a year now. (Knock on wood, of course) : ) Quote Link to comment
BKtomodachi Posted September 13, 2008 Its really not about how long they last. Its about how they should be able to act in an aquarium. Tangs often swim for wide swaths, 4-10 feet in length or much more. Because of this, it is generally recommended that a 4 foot x 2foot tank is a minimum for tangs. The two species you have are even larger than some tangs, and would need even more space according to most. You don't have to listen of course. But surely your fish would appreciate it. eLL-dEE Posted September 14, 2008 yea, they may look good in there but I promise they will meet their maker WAY before they would in a tank that is meant for them. Like a tank about 5 times whatever size that nano is... Corals and scape look stellar but man, you should know better... Quote Link to comment
bheld Posted September 19, 2008 If you want a tang, set up a bigger tank...its so stupid when people want to be cheap but still want all the cool fish. Quote Link to comment

dragonetti Posted September 23, 2008 You treehuggers make me through up. Lets all commit suicide so all the animals on earth can live like nature intended. Your tangs look great, they look a lot better than many I have seen in large aquariums. A tang in the ocean told me to tell you treehuggers that they like small tanks and the free meals, they don't have to swim 4 to 8ft to get their food like in the ocean. Quote Link to comment
CMonkey Posted September 24, 2008 Sorry to disappointment all of tang police in this forum, but as long as the tangs are healthy and not "too" big for the tank, I will keep it. I will sell or even donate it to a person with a larger tanks when time comes. Quote Link to comment
