StevieT Posted August 24, 2008 nice, we don't get to see too many of these in this part of the reefing world! Quote Link to comment
Break Posted August 24, 2008 Moorish Idols are awesome, but personally I'd just go with a Schooling Bannerfish as their husbandry is so much easier. Quote Link to comment
joesmoe517 Posted August 24, 2008 Just wait till it inevitably dies. All of a sudden out of the blue it will be, "i don't get it, he was doing so well!". Unless of course you happen to be feeding it the endless supply of coral polyps it's accustomed to eating in the wild. Then you might be fine. Either way, nice shot and nice fish. Cyberbug Posted August 24, 2008 Well I've had him now for about a year...He was gave to us by a friend along with a Hippo Tang. He eat's very well I've not had a problem. One thing I have noticed is I have alot of sponges that grow in my tank? He seems to like to pick at them. And I also do extra treats. Along with reg. fish food. Hopefully it won't turn out like your suggesting. I would never want anything die just because I took on it's care. But I do believe it's better here then it's old home in a 55 gallon tank. Thanks to all who liked the pic... Quote Link to comment
13angels Posted August 30, 2008 awesome fish, if i where you i'd supplement it's food with selcon, maybe add more live rock so it has more sponges to nibble on, or try and feed phytoplankton so your pods and sponge population booms and it has some more treats... dunno just ideas....
