Nope. When I turn the lights off at night, 1" long clear threads come out of the black dots and anything that touchs it like the size of an anenome, dies.

Then the thing eats it and while it is, the victim dissolves.

can you see if it has a hard skeleton, or is it soft?

msturgis, unless you have a coldwater setup, i dont think it will live in a normal tank. We keep him at 64 - 67 degrees F.
