thats not a macro! Its a sponge! It has all of the holes and tubes because it constantly filters water through itself!

I also have a bunch of those on my Fiji rock. Great pic, way better than the one I tried to take but didn't even bother to post.

sometimes they disappear for no obvious reasons too
