Tyrant Posted April 20, 2008 What are you showing us here in this photo? The water flow? A trickle filter will work, but may not be the best choice for a reef tank. A trickle filter can become a "Nitrate Factory" In fact, a trickle filter is not needed if you have live rock to do the job of your biological filtration. Are you doing a fish only tank? If so, the trickle filter is fine but for a reef tank, I would reconsider. Quote Link to comment

HogWinslow Posted April 20, 2008 I always hated the way the intake on the HOB looked in the tank. I also have a problem with crud building up on the water surface. This solved both problems. And there's enough room to have the heater in it also. Quote Link to comment
