What is this guy holding onto?

I don't know... Help me out in the ID forum. I got it today and it looked dead and was wrapped in that white thing. It is now coming back to life but I still can't figure out what it is.

yeah... I've got it in a fuge with an emerald. should I be worried?

Does it have it's anems too? I have heard that if they loose them they will pick up something else to replace them, maybe he chose whatever that white string is?

I was told that if they lost one or both of their anemones that they would not grow them back. Ours lost his the second day and then after he molted he had two again!

i wouldnt trust an emerald crab. that's really weird whatever that stuff is. eww.

I have heard that if you have more than one, and one of them looses their nems the other one will share pieces of his. Also, when they molt they set their nems down somewhere then come back and pick them up once their done molting... maybe that's what happened with your Tiffany?
