Great job at picking out colors, awesome tank. How does the starfish do in that size tank and is it full grown?

Not sure about full grown but he does awesome. I feed him once a week with a piece of squid or whatever the heck it is, its in the cubed prime reef, and big chunks of something. I thaw it then with hemostats, wedge it down by his mouth when he is on the glass. I will get a pic next time of him eating. We dont really know much about linckias in general, and I think its a pretty risky gamble as i have not heard of too many that will eat. I think it just takes patience, and you have to sit there to make sure nothing gets the food, and if they drop it pick it up and try again.

Thanks for the comments

OH yea my lighting is kinda rigged right now, looks like crap! I am in the process of making something that will house the 70 halide, the 2 18w PC and I think I will throw a actinic t5 in there also. Want to cover all the bases lol. The issue is that its on the bar at my house, and we have 25ft ceilings, so hanging a fixture is not going to work, and my hunny will not let me drill the bar, :(

I am looking into ideas, and hopfully start construction this coming weekend!

How is the surface skimmer attached to the powerhead? Is it a AC skimmer? Are you running a heater or any other filtration?

Holy crap. One of my favorite tanks. I have a question... is the lighting in real life close to what it looks like in the picture? And what brand of bulbs and everything are you using. I have seen pictures of 14k bulbs and they looks so blue but i dont realy care for it. I like more white i guess. From that picture at lease it looks perfect (light temp wise anyway.

The MH is a JBJ 70w 14k, its definatly more white than blue. I would say it looks more like 10k. I dont like their bulbs at all and plan on replacing it asap. The color here is pretty close, it might be a little bit more yellow.
