andre Posted November 24, 2005 hey what kind of skimmer are you running on it? and what kind of tank is it? it looks nice, good job. im sure your gonna be hearing about that tang by every person who sees this pic. all i am gonna say is that it has a higher chance of getting ich because it can get stressed from not being in the proper sized tank it needs. and that could mean your tank crashing. but its your choice. love the corals. clam Posted November 25, 2005 Thse tank is made by aquamedic. The skimmer is an aquamedic biostar flotor. The setup is holding superb water quality. The Tang, well I have no problem with hearing the opinions of others. All of the stock has been stripped out of my old 100 gallon system, including the Yellow Tang. Hence I have a fully stocked reef in 2 weeks, with mature live rock and water taken from the old system. My Yellow Tang has never had ich / spot, despite lots of folk I know with 100 gallon +systems and all of there tangs riddled with disease. I did contemplate the Tang going in there and have been keeping a careful eye on the fish. I have been into reefs for many years, and have a reasonable idea of what to look out for. Still learning though!! The fish is showing no sign of distress, or behaviour which differs from my last system, and eats like a pig. Some Tangs would be a definite no go for my tank, but here and now the Yellow is fine I think. However, if I detect problems, he will be off to my friends 200 gallon system. Thanks for the kind words guys. Kev Quote Link to comment
