gobygirl3
My pair of skunk clowns are killing my pulsing xenia. They do not sit in it all day like they would an anemone but they rub on it constantley and try to sleep in it at night. The polyps are turning white in places and looking ragged from their constant attention.I even saw the male clown with a polyp in his mouth sucking it in and spitting it out over and over.I have a large frogspawn and some stars but they leave them alone. offsprg01
hat's their normal behavior. they would do that to an anenome as well. the rubbing and mouthing of the polyps is what a clown fish does to maintain it's immunkity to a hosts anemone's sting. some fish are more "gential" with the process than others. if you want them to stop get rid of them. that's about all you can do.
