totalnewb
Just saw this thing few minutes after I set up the tank, was very hard to detect, almost same color as the rock, sorry about crappy photo, just got my camera too still trying to figure it out. 2 hours later the star was nowhere to be found. Oh ya I also have a bunch of greenish watery bubles on some of the rock, is that some sort of algea , good , bad? what to do with it. when I was setting up I picked on some of it and after rocks were in the tank some bubbles swirled arround and got sucked up by the filter. It can actually be seen to the left of the star . Somehow I don't really like it, whatever it is.. Link to comment
willem
Hi, I'm no expert, but I believe the star to be Asterina. Look here: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/asterinafaqs.htm They are good. The green bubbles are... Bubble algea. If you break to many of the bubbles you could cause it to spread quickly. Emerald crabs are supposed to eat the bubbles. Hope this helps. Willem Link to comment
