s800
Okay, so I finally bought my first piece of coral home on Friday- a small Green Star Polyp colony. Anyway, I noticed something odd last night- a very small, translucent thin "thing" pops out of a hole, and reaches around with a little pincher. Seems to do this all day long. What the hell is this? I tried some keyword searches to no avail. As If my guess is right (and it's not a good thing to have), are there any tips to kill it? What kind of creature is it attached to? R Link to comment
s800
I found another description of the same exact type of thing here, but without an ID: http://www.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/archi...2001/11/2/45668 -R Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
Ok, I'm not going to be much help here. I have no idea what it could be, but to me, it sounds like a typical scavenger- it sounds like it does what my mini-bristle starfish or my pods do when there is a piece of food nearby. Has it touched the GSPs at all? Tasha Link to comment
harbingerofthefish
like tashayar, I couldn't tell you for sure what it is but it could be yet another "tube" worm. If it doesn't present any obvious harm to your gsp's...let them live. Link to comment
