Bludgeonfish56
Hi everyone I decided that I wanted to set up a marine tank after a few years of having quit and gone back to freshwater. I need some ideas. Link to comment
MeepNand
My experience is that macroalgaes are cheap and nice looking, and can thrive in a lot of light and flow requirements. They also suck up nitrates, which is nice. Link to comment

Simonsays
Low budget.....hahahaha. ????☹️???? we got a 12 gallon, thinking it can't be all that bad. Set up cost was less than $300. No worries. Tripled that on getting stuff to maintain. Not it to mention my terrible coral habit.... this wasn't even susposed to be my tank. My other half wanted it. I got hooked. Link to comment
xAyanex
I have a Coralife Biocube 29 that is somewhat a bowfront. It was by no means a cheap setup but it's my first tank so I wanted the best of everything early on (save for lights) so I didn't feel the need to upgrade later. I don't really know what is considered low budget. Mine was low budget for my budget. But my budget is possibly larger than the average budget. Link to comment
Clown79
The lowest budget method will be setting up the following method. Are you planning coral because lighting isn't cheap. Tank Liverock/dry reef rock Livesand(caribsea) Hang on filter like aquaclear or api superclean(i prefer the superclean it has a surface skimmer) Heater: eheim jagger or aqueon pro Powerhead(hydor, sicce, or jebao) Lighting depends on tank dimensions but here are a few to look into for budget. Aquaillumination Nanobox Mars aqua Coral compulsion par38 Current orbit Aquamaxx Nemolight Link to comment
