kennerd
So, we'll share them here: So much for not having to pay for blue spot squammies, huh, Steve? This is the smallest one of three, in my 7 cube, under 2x13w blue bulbs and a 6700k 27w quad, no actinic. The two others are beginning to develop similar spots under 20k 150w halide Another shot of the clam, bookended between a pair of branching alevopora colnies that were almost identical in shape and size, but radically different color: With the dawn bulbs on And with the blue/daylights again. Here's the other half of the new, jade green alevopora in the 65 gal under vho actinics. Thought the pic came out pretty cool: And a tiny-polyped (1/8" across) encrusting gonipora that's bright pink with blue centers. I've had luck with the encrusting variety, opposed to the larger polyped, individual colonies. Halides in that tank weren't on when I left this morning: maybe catch a daylight pic tonight. And the other part of the alevopora colony in the 65 that I fragged to put in the 7 gal. Link to comment
birdman204
Nice pictures. My wife was pointing to an alveopora last weekend at the LFS.... They are cool looking. Link to comment
caja
My alveopora died when I had that heater malfunction. Beautiful coral. Ken those squammies are awesome. Trade ya. Come on you know you want to. Link to comment
FlyGTI
Great stuff, Ken. Was this transhipper deal a one time thing, or is there more of this planned? Link to comment
kennerd
I have no idea what you are talking about...... Actually, the clam is the only thing from there, and the other stuff here was local. Will PM you with details....just a royal PITA to orchestrate the thing, given the uncertainty of shipping and arrivals. Link to comment
