ReefYourself
Hello everyone, Daily, my temp swings in between 77.6-79 and my salinity can swing in between topoffs by (1.026-1.027: I do not have an ATO). Is this bad for my corals? Link to comment

Phixion
Nope, that's totally within range. Just try to top-off consistantly daily and you'll be alright. Link to comment

What exactly do most consider to be a safe range for temps and salinity swings throughout a day? My 29g goes from 79 to 81 and I haven't noticed any salinity swings as of yet. I'm just curious what most consider to be on the safe side. Link to comment
Phixion
No more than 0.2 - 0.3 for pH and no more than 3 degrees up OR down in a 24 hour period ate generally considered acceptable. Currently my pH is 8.10 lowest point and night and peaking at 8.35 by day. My temp goes from 80.3 up to 81.7 at any given time, all controlled via my ACjr controller. Link to comment
