steely185
So I'm shopping craigslist to hunt for bargains on a new AGA and I come across three. 1) a 37 gallon, with stand(still waiting for a pic on the quality of the stand), 30lbs of live sand, 100 lbs of live rock (from a 3 year old tank), and misc pumps/powerheads etc.. for $300 2)a 40 gallon tall, stand, VHO lighting, canopy, overflow, bak pak skimmer, and a couple of power heads for $200 3)a 50 gallon tall with stand and a few misc parts for $150 Right now I'm leaning towards the 37 mainly because of the live rock. I'm replacing lighting with a 150W sunpod (either 30" 1x150 14K or 36" 2x150 14K) on anything I buy. What's your take and do you think I'm making the smarter decision. Link to comment
Nanobuds
the 37 gallon. replace lighting, but 100 lbs of LR is a bit much imo, but it will be fine. Link to comment
steely185
I probably wouldn't use but 50-70 lbs of rock. Do you think the 150 W 14K would be sufficient. I'm looking at a mix of soft, SPS and LPS. I just hate that 30" lighting is hard to come by and all but you can pick up a 30" sunpod for $200 since they are dropping that size. Link to comment
