formerly icyuodd/icyoud2
"what are the little white bugs on my tank?" this question is asked alot on this board. so i took some pic's for future reference. my 2.5 is crawling withpods and mysid. the mysid are very fast/small and difficult to catch on camera, so please excuse the crappy photos. first the copepods-fav. food of mandarin and sea horses. and the mysid if you look close, you'll see a mysid shrimp to the left of this huge amphipod. and another shot of the amphipod. other than a few hermits, zoos and shrooms, these are the only things that live in my 2.5 anybody have pics to add? debbeach13
This is a good idea. I can not add any pictures I have never seen any thing like that in my tank. Link to comment
c est ma
Very nice pics! Those are isopods, not copepods. Yet another common nano pod... http://www2.una.edu/microaquarium/Crustaceans.htm --Diane Link to comment
formerly icyuodd/icyoud2
guess i have iso, cope, amphi pods in the tank. i always thought these were copepods-(sold to me as copepods) but after seeing the pics on your link. the copepods in my tank(which i have all over my glass) are too small to photograph. i assumed these isopods where just large adults. thanks for clearifing. this is a mistake i've been making for years. now i've gone back and read the fine print on the bottle, it does say theres a variety of pods in the mix.
