Mad Nanite
i got a frag of xenia on a snail shell from a friend cause his is going nuts in his tank...anyway, i moved it twice over the last few weeks untill it perked up, but still not as big as it was. Well lately it's been pulling away from the snail shell, still looks the same, not shriveling, or melting, or dying, just growing what looks like 8 little knobby legs and leaving the shell base. What is going on? Do xenia up and move? I've never seen this. thanks Link to comment
Orange Crush
yep. it'll move to where it likes it in your tank, and likely it'll leave behind some babies. it's a pretty cool process to see it on the move for the first time...grows a "foot" in the middle of the stalk, and more or less walks away. very, very slowly. Mad Nanite
wow, cool! yeah, it looks like it's just walking off. glad to hear it. thanks Link to comment
zzpw3x
From my expereince it will keep walking up (toward the light). If you want it to quit walking place it high so that there is no rock (or glass) close to it. Link to comment
