james.tsai Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 Check out the top polyp that is closed, there is a yellow bump on the right side near the top. I am not sure what this is, is it zoa pox or something else? It just showed up the other day and the polyp isn't opening... There is another one farther down on one of the polyps and that one is partially opening, not on the side with the lump... I am a noobie so I don't know what to do, if anything... Thanks guys! nanotrevor Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 id would say zoa pox...i just had this same issue. after lots of reading at http://www.coralpedia.com/articles004.php decided to do the furan 2 dip. after 3 consecutive treatments/dips for 20 minutes a day in the furan 2 solution my zoas are looking way better with no white/yellow polyps. after about 2-3 days after final treatment almost all the zoas where open again...theyre kinda small and dull but opening, i have radio active dragon eyes, eagle eyes and the grn/brn ones. api make the furan 2 and its like an antibiotic for fish but seemed to work and had no ill effect....good luck.
