I couldn't decide much room I wanted for the chemipure super glues/siliconed the grate in the outflow area made a holder for the sponge/filter floss, I like filter floss better, but Ill see what works best with this system made a holder for the 1st baffle and here we are for now I still need to make an opening in the top for a light, get a light, and paint the whole thing black Link to comment

Lawnman
Why didn't you just mount the led lights to the front and back of the metal halide fixture?I would of used high strength epoxy on the long sides of the led fixture and stuck it to where the MH fixture curves. Link to comment

jtgordon20
I don't think you said but how are you lighting the aquaclear fuge? I have one and when I try to light it an opposite photoperiod as the tank it lights up that half of the tank. Great looking so far though. Will follow along. Link to comment
cruzH20polo
Wow looks good. Look forward to seeing it filled up wow ... thanks rehype yea I can't wait either ... but stupid finals just get in the way of everything I don't think you said but how are you lighting the aquaclear fuge?I have one and when I try to light it an opposite photoperiod as the tank it lights up that half of the tank. Great looking so far though. Will follow along. I've been thinking about this, and I really want to oppitmize the use of my fuge (using reverse cycle) but I am worried about light overflow. I have left over acrylic from previous projects Im probably going to cut a section out of the top the of the aquaclear, make a recessed window out of clear acrylic, find a light I can fit into that recessed area or mod something to do that and then before the grated baffle in the I was thinking about making solid baffle out of acrylic and paint it black... if it doesnt impede the flow of the AC into the display also I have painted the entire AC70 black so hopefully that will help with light overflow any other suggestions Link to comment
